Let’s Find Out is a monthly podcast about local history. It’s recorded in Edmonton, Alberta – aka Amiskwaciwâskahikan – on Treaty Six territory.

It began as a podcast taking questions from curious Edmontonians about local history, and finding out the answers together. Now it’s a sneak peek into Chris Chang-Yen Phillips’ research journey as he pursues an MA in history at the University of Alberta.

Chris Chang-Yen Phillips is a storyteller and people weaver. He is an MA History grad student at the University of Alberta, and works as Podcasting Coordinator at CJSR 88.5 FM. Previously, he served as Edmonton’s 4th Historian Laureate. Chris studied International Development Studies & Environment and Resource Studies at Trent University. He loves learning about science, nature, and history. And his favourite Star Trek series is Deep Space Nine.

Trevor Chow-Fraser is a writer, audio producer, and graphic designer. He currently works as Program Lead (Marketing & Communications) for the University of Alberta’s Sustainability Council.

This podcast’s creation has been supported by Taproot Edmonton, the Edmonton Historical Board, and the Edmonton Heritage Council. Let’s Find Out is a member of the Alberta Podcast Network.
